Get the Most Out of Your Intel 9XX Chipset

September 28, 2009 at 6:45 PM

IntelNow I know many of you are thinking that the intel 9XX chipset isn’t meant for gaming and I can understand, but a few of us like to play games on what we have. We don’t have special high end rigs with $300 graphic card(s) in them, but for standard gaming, the intel 9XX is enough. It comes standard in most laptops and netbooks and I can tell you now, a large majority of us own one because the internet is wireless, so why shouldn’t our computers be? I even own a netbook (Asus 1000HE to be exact) and I like to play games on there from time to time. I’ve used this and it has worked magnificently!

There are ways to optimize the 9XX chipset to do a many of things but the most effective one is using a modified driver. You can find one directly from here: http://www.intel9xx.moonfruit.com/ This site has everything you need to know and more on how to play games effectively and cleanly on a 9XX chipset.

Team Fortress 2: King of the Hill

August 12, 2009 at 7:03 PM

Team Fortress 2 just had an update and guess what they added. No, its not a new class, but a new game mode! King of the Hill is brand new and is really fun to play.
King of the Hill (KotH) is an intense new game mode focused around a single central capture point that must be defended for three minutes. Gameplay begins with the point initially locked—after a short time, it will open for capture by either team. Once the point is captured by a team, their team clock will start a three minute countdown. If the enemy team manages to capture the point back, their clock will start counting down while the other team’s clock freezes at the time the point was recaptured.
Wow, this new game mode actually sounds pretty fun. Well go download that update and start being king of your hill!
